Heidi Klum and her fun Halloween parties are not foreign to anyone who loves the supermodel. Year by year she has come up with a wide variety of costumes from mythical figures to movie characters. And this year, the supermodel has promised a more exciting costume which she has been planning for the year.

Like the chilly wind, dry leaves falling and the carved-out pumpkins, Heidi Klum’s annual party is also inevitable for Halloween. She has been doing it for over two decades now. Outshining herself every year, the supermodel spends months making her costume. Heidi Klum does have a reason for this love for Halloween bash.

Heidi Klum’s Love For Halloween Parties

Now a supermodel, Heidi Klum had a passion for dressing up in costumes from a very young age. That’s one of the core reasons for her love for Halloween. But there’s more to the story.

Back when the TV personality lived in Cologne, Germany, the country had an annual Karneval celebration with costumes and candies. And moving to America and celebrating Halloween had revoked her old memories.

“When I moved to America, I immediately fell in love with Halloween and the spookiness of it. All that was missing was a fantastic party. It felt like a real opportunity for me,” the actress said to The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. And at the start of the millennium, in 2000, Heidi Klum hosted her first Halloween party. Stars from different spheres including music, fashion, and entertainment showed up at the party.

‘No Costume- No Entry’ Rule

Throwing her first party, Heidi Klum had a very special guest. Prince Andrew! He came in a suit. “His justification for not wearing a costume was, ‘I’m not Prince Andrew. I came dressed as Prince Andrew!’ And we just let him in. It was funny,” the supermodel recounted. However, many people were not dressed up as spooky for the occasion.

“We quickly taught people that if you don’t come in a costume, you’re not getting in. The costumes get bigger and better every year. And that’s because guests know they won’t get in unless they bring it,” the 50-year-old said. Thus came the ‘no costume-no entry’ rule. Through the years Heidi Klum has been hosting the annual bash with full-out costumes inspiring others to do the same.
